The last time I sampled Litoral was in 2011. I gave it a decent review, although we were running late and in a mad dash to get back to the Venetian to catch a show. This time we allotted enough time to really appreciate the various dishes that we sampled. I have to say that this time around it was... More

My sister and I had a great lunch recently at Litoral. It was pouring with rain and we were both soaked but they welcomed us warmly and did not mind us dripping on floor! We only had soup and cod cakes but it was excellent. Its a lovely little venue too, well worth seeking out. We were sorry we did... More

We visited this restaurant for lunch, based on a write-up in a travel book or a tourist map. It was rather empty, which was fine by us as we got great service. We had the Portuguese Sausage (which was nothing to write home about), and the Grilled Codfish (which was very good).

We sought this out based on a review in a guidebook that said it was the best Macanese food in Macau. It was small, intimate, with friendly, attentive service. We ordered the guidebook's recommendation - duck in black herb sauce. The waitress helpfully warned us that the sauce was black because it was made of duck's blood ... hmmm, what... More

Hit Litoral after seeing House of Dancing Water (see that review), and can say that the food was quite good. On a previous visit to Macau during the 2011 summer, we dined at A Lorcha and we wanted to compare these two highly rated Portuguese/Macanese places (they’re actually on the same block). I have to say that I’m undecided as... More

Really far from a Portuguese restaurant. I was there 5 years ago and the quality of food decrease from that time. Will not go there again!

Had lunch there recently and the food was generally good. Had the ox tail stew with rice, fish in potato and barbecue pork ribs - all for 3 persons. It was our first experience with Portugese food and the experience was pleasant. Service was average and the crowd was small as we arrived late for lunch. Location next A-ma Temple... More

Went to this restaurant on the recommendation of friends. This place is supposed to be the best in terms of serving authentic Macanese cuisine. My partner ordered Portuguese stew while I had the African chicken. We also ordered a selection of Portuguese sausages and the bacalao. Food was good but nothing to rave about, and we thought that it was... More

While in Macau we had high hopes of going to eat at a good 'Macanese' restaurant. After looking through the travel guide Litoral and A-Lorcha came up as the best choices. After looking on trip advisor we settled on A-Lorcha. After going through a meandering course around Macau sight seeing we found ourselves at A-Lorcha, unfortunately it was full and... More

After spending several hours outside in the warmth of the sun, we almost froze in the cold wind from the aircon...an almost universal problem in most restaurants anyway. We chose typical Portuguese fare - oven baked codfish on potatos and onions, fish cakes, salad, washed down with Bock beer...delicious. The portions were sizeable. The service was officious, almost politically correct... More
