Perhaps I went on an "off" night? I visited La Paloma on a Wednesday night and was very disappointed. PROS: -lovely atmosphere a terrace that would be a dream for weddings. The food, however, would be a wedding's worst nightmare. -attentive service CONS: -horrible food -suckling pig was dry and brittle -the rest of the meal was overly salty, lacking... More

The previous reviews pretty well sum up dining at La Paloma. What we loved was the quality of the food which was Spanish rather than Portuguese in origin. The service was excellent and discreet and the atmosphere cool and elegant, as you would expect in a Relais en Chateu premises. I was a little disappointed by the wine list which... More

great sitting on the terrace in the summer/fall. Reminds you of dining in Europe. The suckling pig was amazing as was our gazpacho, but the paella was so-so and slightly undercooked.

After a hot, humid, crowded Saturday afternoon in November (!) of sightseeing in tropical Macau, my husband and I wound up around the corner from the A-Ma-temple, on a waterfront street below a hotel with a terrace. We asked outside about getting a beer and were invited up the stairs and into a lovely hotel. Because we weren't dressed for... More

La Paloma restaurant is within the Pousada (hotel) that has been made in the old Sao Tiago Fort. The restaurant is in rooms on the battlements, and has a open air terrace on the battlements. It is accessed by the original fort tunnel entry, which is incredibly picturesque. The fort was built in 1629. The Chef, Hector, prepares traditional Spanish... More

This place is not very convenient for transport, so you need to get a taxi to go there. Joshua, the assistant Manager speaks English and was kind enough to teach us to tell Taxi driver in Chinese. The restaurant is set in old building., when you enter you will walk into a rock tunnel, in old chateau,. The restaurant is... More

In general, the ambience of this Relais et chateaux is something that you should not missed during your Macau trip. The food is more to a high side but it is worth every single cent depending on the occasion. I would say that this a fantastic venue for proposal, special event and even gathering.

We used to eat here back when it was Os Gatos, but it went downhill and the hotel seems to have changed hands and had an expensive makeover. The night we went the weather was not brilliant so indoors was the only sensible option. The staff were courteous if seemingly rather unsure what to make of myself and my partner... More
