Situated around a square and got very busy. Main course was good and decided to have a desert but after waiting over half an hour for it we gave up.
Have eaten here many times over the years, the food is good but not outstanding, what makes it a great place is the location, musicians and atmosphere. This is our 'first night' tavern every time we visit Skiathos because, being so traditionally greek, it really sets the tone for the rest of a holiday.
Taverna Alexandros is absolutely amazing - its a true gem hidden in the back streets of skiathos town but you must find it because you will have an amazing night there.
while you eat a fantasic greek meal you will be entertained by traditional greek music including bouzouki music and guitar music.
we went 3 times on our two week...

This was another visit which was inspired by Trip Advisor research before our holiday. The seating was a little precarious but the food and atmosphere were great. As the evening darkened the string of lights twinkled away making the setting even more romantic. We chose Greek salad,Stuffed tomatoes and Meat balls. All were wholesome and tasty. The service was friendly...

Liked - very traditional food - I visited on two occasions both times the food was excellent. Great atmosphere - musicians playing string Greek classics which was so lovely
Found this Taverna on Trip Advisor before travelling to Skiathos. It took a bit of finding through the winding lanes, but worth it. The food was excellent. I would highly recommend it.

Sitting in the open under the mulberry tree on a warm summer's evening, listening to the bazouki and being serenaded by locals is impossible to...

What a lovely taverna. Situated in the backstreets of Skiathos town in a pretty square with a mulberry tree in the centre. Life doesn't get much better than sitting outside on a warm evening listening to the beautiful soft Greek music played and sung with such feeling by the talented musicians.
We went on the restaurant's last night of opening...

We had a job getting a table here as most of them were reserved although we were early. We were taken into the kitchen and shown all the traditional greek dishes on offer The pork dish we both had was great and the service was very efficient. An added bonus was a very good greek singer guitar player ,very romantic indeed....
