With its wonderful views of waves hitting the adjacent beach, this restaurant begins with a great advantage. To this is added a refined cuisine and a warm welcome from the well-trained staff. Lunch outside on the terrasse is a delight. The place is all about high quality seafood and some splendid sauces. I am always pleased to see restaurants with... More

I spent a week in September in this part of Northern Spain with my girlfriend and family members - parents, sister+hubby - and we came to eat at this restaurant on our last day. My galpal Linda found us this restaurant which was recommended to us by our Spanish friend Ernesto (who lives here in San Francisco). My elderly father... More

It was a hot Monday lunchtime approaching 40 degrees. We found ourselves at Zarautz, 20 min south of San Sebastian. Had a swim on the beach, then wandered up along the promenade to this quaint red and white restaurant on the hill above the harbour. What a find! and 2 star michellin at that! Made to feel very welcome, though... More

Very good seafood and great service in this restaurant overlooking the beach in Zarautz. The Parillada de Marisco is extremely good and as a desert the souffle is a must try. Highly recommended.

This is more of a traditional Basque restaurant than many of the more high-profile restaurants in the region. But if you're in Zarautz, it's a must! Fabulous fresh seafood, simply prepared. You won't find molecular gastronomy here, but you will have an amazing meal. Order the seafood platter for 2. Lovely view. Nice town. Great beach. What more do you... More

Is not a long drive from San Sebastian, this restaurant is located in Zarautz, and has a really nice view of the beach. Place is simple but clean, best fish (Bonito) ever. Service #1!! Great place and not expensive.

We were introduced to this wonderful restaurant by Basque friends several years ago and it remains our all time favorite of anywhere we have ever eaten in the world. The welcome by Xabier and his staff is always warm and we are made to feel like old friends returning. We are great fans of the Basque Country and own a... More

Food exellent! Recommend to try the crepe crab( it is nor really a crepe though more like crab cooked in a yummy way and served in a shell). Loved the attention of the owner. Amazing view on the ocean...

Aiten Etxe is really set up for weddings and banquet events, but the serve food at lunchtime that is to die for! We sat on the upper terrace and ghad lobster salad and grilled monkfish, washed down with an excellent bottle of txakoli. The location was great overlooking the beach at Zarautz, and the staff could not have been nicer.... More

I am luckily married to a girl from Zarautz and the family go to this restaurant every 6th January for Christmas (reyes) I was lucky enough to have had my wedding reception here as well back in 2000 and it was simply fantastic, a day I will never forget. Get booking now.
