  "Had dinner here in the evening. The view of the park and surrounding area was wonderful. Staff had great english and since I was with a local, switched back and forth effortlessly between languages. Enjoyed the lamb with fresh asparagus. Dessert was pavlova with FRESH mangos. Terrific! "

  "Went here on the first night after we arrived in Tokyo. This restaurant located in the 14F of Takashimaya building, Shinjuku. The shopping floors closed at 8pm but the food floors (14F and 15F closed at 10pm). Note that this restaurant has no English word written outside, but how we can tell? Look a..."t the menu, if you see all the beefs in the menu book, you are in the right place! We ordered the normal beef Sukiyaki (Japanese hot stone plate style) and Shabu Shabu (Japanese boiled food cooking style). There are three grades of beef; normal, premium and super premium. But i can tell you, normal grade beef is more than enough. It was so so so good! It was the best beef slices i've ever tasted so far. Order the set menu that comes with Chawanmushi (steamed egg), and a dessert (we've picked Matcha ice-cream) for the whole experience. It's rather pricy but a must try if you are in Shinjuku area.   "We came here on our first night in Tokyo, we were after a bit of a Japanese experience but not too harsh so choose this little place as it had an English sub-titled menu and recognisable dishes. Okay, I speak basic Japanese enough to order most things but I was very happy with the welcome from this ..."place. It's food was perfectly fine if not spectacular. For the price it was all good and the service being Japanese of course was exceptional. I'm sure we will visit again during our stay for a quick bite. " More >
