  "We stopped here on the way to Sidmouth and OMG am I glad we did. I had the chicken and roasted pepper sandwich and my husband had the bruschetta ham and rockett sandwich. Both were served with salad and the best homemade coleslaw I have ever tasted. We also had a portion of chunky chips which were ..."cooked to perfection. The choice of desserts was amazing and I had Treacle Sponge with Butterscotch Sauce and my husband had Eaton Mess. The waitress was very friendly, good humored and efficient.   "Very friendly staff and great food. Proper food, not your usual pub grub. Olde world inn, easy to find on the Colyford main road, good menu, our dog was made welcome. "

  "The staff were friendly and attentive, without being intrusive (as is often the case these days). The food was excellent. Pity they're not open Sundays & Mondays; we'd have eaten there every night of our stay if they had been."
