Well, we went for lunch and ended up with afternoon tea which they serve all day because we couldn't resist. We went for the traditional afternoon tea so had a pot of tea, tiny finger sandwiches, a scone each and then a tiny 3rd 'scone' (I only say scone because it was on the scone tier of the cake stand). If I'm going to be fussy, I would say there should have been two of the 3rd 'scone' as we had to cut it in half and it was quite small. The top tier had tiny cakes/petit fours which were delicious. The decor is olde English and obviously appeals to the tourist market without being too twee. The building is allegedly haunted and there is a room near the loos which has a sign on the door ...
