  "We happened to enter this restaurant among a plethora of other offerings, as both the menu posted outside (12 euro including a bottle of wine for 2) and the crowds inside attracted us. Downstairs is the typical drinks and tapas space, with loads of people enjoying themselves - what surprised us was ..."that we got the last table at the upstairs restaurant - at 9:00 pm, when the locals just sort of start to eat - but we guess a large part of the clientele consisted of visitors, with earlier eating habits. For appetizers, the cecina de leon with cooked/grilled leek and particularly the artichockes with fried prosciutto were good. For mains, the dorada/seabass was excellent, but the escalopinas de ternera/beef cutlets were good but came with a too creamy and not enouth pungent roquefort topping. Good creme caramel and ok chocolat layer cake for deserts. The entire bill including coffee, tea and 2 shots of torres brandy came to 36 euro. Recommended. " More >

  "It is usually crowded but that's because the place deserves it. Nice friendly service, local food and tapas, regional and national wines, and its location close to main attractions on the old city makes "la favorita" a perfect place to stop and feel home in Burgos."
