"The Rendezvous Restaurant is located in the same construction as the Lancers Inn hotel. So it is basically the hotel restaurant. But it has it's own entrance and is completely separate. Situated in the middle of city center it is a quiet restaurant with outdoor seating in a good looking park, inside..." seating with an exclusive atmosphere or window table seating with a more rustic look. Toilet facilities look clean and newly refurbished.
The menu holds many classics from all over the world, including several from Europe. My opinion is that they might improve their quality by removing some courses off the menu to really focus on a few. Who goes to Lesotho to eat thai soup anyway? You go to Thailand to eat thai soup. "OK, Maseru isn't exactly Paris when it comes to choices for dining, so being number "1 out of 5" in the capital speaks volumes by itself (I didn't try the other 4). I was slightly put off by the voluminous menu (do they really keep all those vegetables, fish and meat fresh?) so decided to order simp..."le - and was not disappointed. Light, fresh and flavorful. Service was fine - and I would have been disappointed if otherwise as our was the only table occupied!

"In downtown Maseru (the one street of downtown), there is a building known as the Basotho Hat (looks like one) with a tasty little Indian restaurant in it. I didn't have high expectations but was pleasantly surprised with some delicious aloo gobi, rice and naan. A total plus is to go when the weathe..."r is warm enough to sit out on the balcony. The only downside is that the hours are 6-9pm, so if you go for an 8.30pm dinner you may very well miss it!
