While waiting for my lunch, and during my coffee, the lovely waiter - Ngala, regaled me with the history of the 250 year old house, which was now a guesthouse. The restaurant..." is open air next to a garden, which while part of the guesthouse premises, is open to the public (unusual for Lamu Island). A lovely place to sit and watch the children run by on their way to school (Arabic school in the afternoon). After my lunch Ngala took me on a tour of the guesthouse and its definitely on my list for places to stay in Shela. The food was excellent too. " More >
