"A restaurant with a unique location, built at the end of the old German colonial jetty, saved from demolition a few years ago. Get a table (I thinks it's #61) right at the end, and you are 270 degrees surrounded by the Atlantic. The jetty rocks gently, but not enough to make you sea sick!
The spe..."cialty is sushi, which I am not a fan of (can't see the point of fiddling with those little scraps of rice and seaweed), but the main menu is unusual and interesting - like the traditional South Africa bobotie done in wonton style. Service good, food tasty without quite achieving that Wow factor, wine list a bit thin. Emphasis on light meals, so you can visit there early in the evening, watching the sun go down, and go on somewhere else afterwards. Not expensive and a must visit for any tourist to Namibia or Swakopmund.

"A renowned restaurant on the sea front at Swakopmund - actually at the shore end of the jetty, at the far end of which is the Jetty 1905 restaurant Always busy - book at least the day before. Food - mainly seafood and steaks - always good but prices by now up to First World levels - US$ 20 for a s..."teak and $50 for a crayfish or lobster dinner. Service a bit sloppy - ask for a menu, took 15 minutes, and a request to dim the bright spot lights above our table - took three requests and 20 minutes. But a must-do night out for visitors to Swakopmund.
