If you can't speak Japanese it might be a problem as the menu is inaccessible otherwise. ALSO, if it is within one day of your birthday you get a free 'kobore ikura gunkan' which is basically an ikura gunkan with something like 3 times the normal amount of topping, and by coincidence I went the day after my birthday so I was quite delighted (especially as this would usually be 515yen!) We could order exactly what we wanted and the amount which we could finish. No wastage! Having said that, set meals would be great if you have no idea what you want.
