Niro's is a small ma and pa Greek and Chicago style foods place that used to be a stand alone Pizza Hut years ago. Their hallmark is the G..."yro meat. It is not greasy like you find in many places. They make their own tzatziki sauce (yum), plus excellent Hummus. Even the burgers and fries are very good. It is a favorite around here and there is often a line at lunch - even at lunch though the service is quick. And a good lunch costs less than what you would pay at many fast food chains.   "I love going to a new place, experiencing new food. This one has great mixing of different tastes. The appetizer was pork belly and sausage with some type of soft cheese and apple slice. I had sea scallops entree. There were plenty of them. I don't even know what the small green veggie was but was t..."asty. Had the sampler dessert plate with a custard, creme brule, and a third. And bread pudding. All were so good. The fusion was excellent. The staff was friendly and very attentive but not intrusive. Our table wobbled but they fixed it right away. The place is fairly small and tables are close. I could see into the kitchen with occasional stove flames cooking. The plates range in cost from small to above average. For the special flavorful food I'd say reasonable. I would recommend for dates, small groups, not real intimate conversation or long meetings. Nice little place and get this...they called to see if I was pleased. I've never had that happen. I will be back. " More >
