"excellent menu -- not cheap, but worth it -- Chef Ed and hostess Amy are a winning team. Funky old building in funky old river town, perfect for a special occasion if you like great seafood and atmosphere. Super mussels and garlic salad before dinner -- "
"OK, so the Brit don't exactly have the best reputation for culinary excellence but England could use a place like this. Don't let the exterior fool you (we thought is was going to be a dive with only bar food) as this old building does not do justice to what's inside. The bar (decorated with mugs and other clever things) sits to the left on an elevated platform while the best seating is along the large windwis overlooking the stream on the right hand side.
They have a wonderful selection of home-made beers at $5.95 a pint. We started with the Brewer's Platter appetizer consisting of tenderly prepared sliced sausage, sauteed apples, goat and stilton cheeses as well as tasty crackers. Absoultely deliciou...

"I have heard about Milford Oyster House and always wanted to go there. Great place. Nice atmosphere. Classical music playing softly in the background while you are having an incredible meal. How incredible you may ask. Well how about everything, from start to finish. Homemade bread. So good. ..." Canadian oysters, fresh and salty, just the way you want. Any fish you wish and well prepared. I had Alaskan halibut, pan roasted with butter garlic, great hand cut French fries and roasted carrots. Dessert? All homemade, like carrot cake and lemon tarts with blueberries. And don't forget the coffee from across the river. The only thing that could make the place better would if it were on the ocean. I will be back.
