"We hosted a rehearsal dinner for a sizeable group of people (May 10) and I was very pleased. They have a couple of private rooms; we had the larger of two. Loved the atmosphere and decor, with lots of wood and stained glass. There is also a beautiful bar area. Our group had a very enjoyable exper..."ience and was pleased with the food. The servers were excellent. Everything went smoothly. We'd dropped our decorations off earlier in the day. When returning prior to the dinner to set them out they'd already done so and beautifully. We were able to relax until our guests arrived. Sara, their event planner, was very helpful and gracious. Parking can be a little challenging at times but I heard no complaints.

"This is the first of three Native Foods Cafes slated for the Portland area. It is 100% vegan. I enjoyed their version of a BBQ sandwich that uses Jackfruit instead of meat. Knowing they had a couple of Jackfruit dishes drew me in, as my fiance and I had recently enjoyed a Jackfruit while together in..." her home country of Uganda. I'd only eaten it raw and knowing that Indians use it in many cooked dishes, I was curious. It was quite tasty, and would be too spicy for some tastes, but the Jackfruit reminded me a lot of Tofu the way this was prepared. Eating it raw, it was more like a very sweet cantaloupe with sort of a stringy consistency.
The employees were very hospitable and they gave me a free beverage and dessert to thank me for making my first visit there. They seemed to have mastered the art of being attentive and helpful without crossing the boundary of intrusiveness.
I'll be back! It's tasty, fun, welcoming, and very reasonably priced. I don't think anything was over $10.

"We eat hear a lot. The space is upscale pub, dark wood furnishings with large bar section in the middle, lots of tv's with sports, and a fun music mix. The staff is very friendly and mostly young girls with what some call shockingly short skirts, but if you are not so uptight they are quite cute with..." their knee socks. The menu is fairly unique, the bacon wrapped prawn are great, I even like the slaw they use as garnishment. Gorgonzola pub nachos, and fish tacos are things I order repeatedly. Of course all the trendy beer on tap.
