"We were looking for a new place to go and carefully read reviews of local restaurants when we came across La Pena; we ventured out to try. La Pena is a small place that was filled with a sprinkling of different customers with families & young people so we were hopeful. Our experience was fun and we ..."came away happy with our choice. My son had steak & cheese quesidilla which he really enjoyed (and it looked great), my husband tried the Cuban sandwich which he described as big & tasty (despite an error to leave out the relish), and I tried the beef & plantains known as mofongos. The only glitch was my meal taking some extra time to arrive but it was very good. We were enchanted by our friendly waitress( as my husband tried to practice his Spanish) and we decided this restaurant would be added to our safe list.
