  "The first time I visited Basil Tree was with a couple of colleagues and well into the night. We had been working late and found the place by virtue of it being the only one with doors open. The ambiance wouldn't blow your socks off, but it isn't that bad either. What did put us off was the lack of any Alcohol being served; this in spite of the rather deceptively stacked bar area, which on closer look revealed artful placement of crystal and other faux spirits which seemingly have been put there to preserve the incoming Alcohol service license which the manager informed was "in progress".
