"We were looking for a quick bite to eat on our first night there. We walked by a few restaurants and this was one caught our eye. It was a small, unassuming, old town diner in the midst of palm trees. We were greeted with big smiles by the staff who were happy to answer any questions we had. My ..."friend and I devoured our sandwiches and vowed we'd be back for breakfast the next morning. And the breakfast did not disappoint. Even the coffee was excellent. So needless to say, that was our go to spot for breakfast. It got really crowded one morning, but the staff remained attentive and nice. And the prices are ridiculously reasonable. Do yourself a favor and stop there for... whatever!

"We went this past weekend as we were staying around and no complaints on the food.
The soups, the "mofongo" and the "pastelon" were really great. This cost is not cheap, but it's reasonable for the area. I have been in the country side since 30+ years ago and no one called each other 'jibaro'. I..."nitially it's somewhat, but at some point we got tired of it.
The kids meal are server on a cafeteria tray like the ones we had 20+ years ago. It was really cool.

It was obviously their slow time of day, and ..."they must not have had many people working, and so service wasn't very good. Our waiter was very friendly when he came over though, and one of the bartenders started making conversation about Puerto Rico's cultural history when he saw me get up and take a picture of some of the African art on the walls. We ordered coconut sangria (don't see that on every menu) and a couple of meat dishes amongst us. I ordered the skirt steak that came with a type of mango mashed potato, and it was DELICIOUS. The steak was cooked to perfection, and incredibly seasoned and tasty. The coconut sangria was good, yet very sweet, and so would recommend as an after-dinner drink/dessert. After dinner we ordered ...
