"The entrance to this restaurant in the old town is beautiful - very much old Provence. Sadly its all change on opening the door as the restaurant is in a small room with decor reminiscent of Ikea and very bright lights. Obviously the chef wants us to see what we eat! 32 euros is the cheapest menu in..." the evening but for this there is no choice. The amuse bouche and little gambas soup extras were delicious and in effect makes the menu good value considering it has now received a Michelin star. However, the menu only changes every three months which is a shame and the snails in lentils starter followed by pork cheek were not something I would rush back to taste again. The more expensive menus did offer choices but for me this is a big negative. However, the lunch menu (again no choice) changes every day. The chef cooking according to what he finds at the market. At 20 euros this seems to be very good value. If you want a romantic venue this will not be for you but if you want to eat Miche...

"Friends told us about this place and, as we wanted to thank them for their hospitality, we asked them to book a table for four. Unlike other reviewers, we loved the pared-down decor and lighting, it's very clean and modern. I had a brilliant Tandoori monkfish with mango and cucumber purees and my husband loved his supreme de volaille with foie gras. Everything is beautifully presented and delicious, including the petits fours (particularlydelightful was a wonderful macaroon with mint and chocolate).
The wine list is short but to the point. The only thing which we thought the place lacked was more efficient service. We did not feel particularly welcomed when we arrived, the welcome was fine but lacked warmth. It took a while for water and bread to appear on the table. Only two of us had dessert (the men!). My girlfriend and I were given clean pla...

"I had been shopping (fruitlessly) then I found Brasserie Bertin and everything was good again !
A very varied menu ( the dishes lived up to their descriptions) portions were good but not too much. The salads were deliciously dressed, the meat was tender, the wine was the correct temperature and th..."e desserts were........superb, especially the pistachio profiteroles with hot chocolate sauce.....service was very slow, we were not in a hurry so it didn't matter. Staff were polite and helpful - all in all I would say it was GREAT and I will go again very soon.
