I cannot think that the grace and dignity of St.Annenkirche (St. Anne's Church) of Annaberg-Buchholz are mundane existence. The flower-like structure of vaults are unbelievably beautiful. The purpose I visited the town was nothing but paying a visit to the church.
Though I looked for accommodation as if I had intention of finding a hospice, Hotel Bilder Mann was proud of the foremost tradition and status in the town.
Watching hotel information folder in the room, I found a description that Russian Emperor Nikolai I (if I remember right) stayed at the Hotel, but the website of the hotel doesn't mention about it. On the other hand it mentions the hotel was built in 1501, the same era of the late-gothic church. Impressive structure of stone vault is remained well at cellar restaurant under the ground. I tasted enough atmosphere of the last period of the medieval times.
Across the market square in front of the hotel, I walked to the church with peacefulness. Even if non-titled, St.Annenkirche and the town are a "world heritage" in my mind.
