having stayed on Agriturismos on farms, this was very different- a modern apartment block down a side street of a tired/neglected looking town. But don't be put off. Matteo is extremely welcoming, and helpful. View from our apartment was stunning- an uninterrupted view of Etna. We borrowed bikes for the day, also took the small railway around the foothills of Etna, watched a Fiat 500 rally go through the town, and really enjoyed our stay. Matteo has an apartment full of cycling trophies- and still rides- and wll give you advice on where to go, or take you out himself. he also owns the large shoe shop on the ground floor. He brought breakfast up to us each morning- not huge quantities, but we had a kitchen too, so could have prepared something ourselves too.
No evening meal available- first night he reccomended a restaurant in town, within walking distance, and the next night we drove back up the hill we had cycled up during the day to Floresta, to a village restaurant, full of locals, full of atmosphere, for a great value meal. Floresta is the highest village in Sicily. We also of course did the tourist trip in the cable car up Etna.

Dear Friends,
many thanks for your reviewes.
I am very happy for your beautifull words around my services owner and for my competence and friendly-ship with you. But I am sad for your poor breakfast, perhaps you were wanting more food, but I spoke only a little English and that is a great restriction for me. Talking and understanding your language was so difficult for me. I hope you come back here sometime and I will can speak better in English with you and I will can prepare a great breakfast for your family.
Greetings,
Matteo Ferretti.
Ps.: Sorry for my bad English
