Our stay at Great Seaside was perfect. We were made so welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The only downside was that we had to go home! We travelled with our two year old and Amanda was just brilliant offering suitable cutlery as well as preparing breakfast in a child friendly way. Our daughter was delighted to find that when we returned from a lovely visit to the Donkey Sancturay, her dolly had been tucked up in her travel cot ready for her when she went to bed...I would highly recommend Great Seaside and we will definatley be back.

A very comfortable quiet and relaxing B&B close to the beach. In a good location for exploring and walking. No huge sea views. Clean and tidy house. Excellent breakfasts and a very nice helpful host.

We stayed for 4 nights, 2 adults and 3 children aged 10 yrs and over. The children stayed in the 3 bed family room and we also occupied the upstairs double room. There is a large bathroom with bath, separate shower and twin wash basins, situated between the 2 upstairs bedrooms. It might not be suitable for 3 young children to share the bedroom, as the double room is separate, but it worked for my families age group. The rooms were spotlessly clean, with good quality beds and linen. Amanda gave us a lovely welcome, and was happy to spend time with us giving information on the area and amenities, but was also discrete enough for us to relax and enjoy our stay. The breakfast was cooked to order from quality ingredients, with a selection of cereals, juice and yoghurt. No sliced bread here! Hand sliced granary and white bread availble to toast with Bonne Mamman preserves. The beach is a few minutes walk away, and there is a cafe serving good food during the day.The nearest pub is about 20 mins walk and served good food, including a childrens menu, all reasonably priced. The Old Bakery Tearooms, should not be missed. There are easy and difficult walks, and also surrounding towns to visit. This place would suit families and couples alike. We can't wait to go back for another visit.

A beautiful bed & breakfast located in a bucolic valley along the Jurassic Coast. The rooms are very comfortable, particularly for a 16th and 17th century building. Our host was great, and there are plenty of great walks above the cliffs, into town of Branscombe and along the beach. There are 2 great pubs and The Bakery (tea house) within 15 min walk. In 30+ years of staying at B&B's, I think this one ranks at the top.
