Speechless! Everything was perfect in the hotel, not a thing out of place. The staff were exceptional helpful and friendly.
I have visited this hotel on two occasions now and will definately return again soon!

Very big rooms, nice & new! We were very lucky to get a special rate to stay there for 3 nights. There are a few metro lines just in the basement of the building.
Very easy to get around.
Super nice hotel- rooms well appointed. Free wifi - workout gym has super views- get the trainer far from the door so you don't have breeze on you as you work out and it is the best view as well.
The sauna spa is quite nice and discount for guest. It is competitive but overall I agree with othe rpoists everywhere in TOK is expensive but this place has a nice vibe (someone mentioned souless) but I think the staf fis very friendly as you engage with them especially Aia (eye-ah) reception at Gym on 15th and the man who is the host at breakfast.
Don't forget to use your "do not disturb" sign and you will be left alone for the entire time is you want.
Hotel and room were renew and they are gorjeous. The location is not the best one.
We have just returned from our annual snowboarding pilgrimage to Japan. We stayed at The Capitol Hotel Tokyu twice on our holiday for a total of 5 days. The hotel was great and I highly recommend it for both business and leisure travellers.
(In the interests of full disclosure, the first two day stay was at a discounted rate for providing a tripadvisor review. Given I always review hotels anyway I didn't feel there was any conflict.)
We stayed in a Deluxe King room the first stay. It was very clean, modern and well appointed, and we were also afforded excellent views of Tokyo. We were shown to our room immediately upon arrival despite getting in at 8am. A nice touch. Most importantly for me, the hotel provides free wi-fi. If only more hotels would follow suit! Oh and the beds were amazing...I'll be contacting the hotel to look at where I can buy one - they were that good!
The Capitol is in an excellent location in downtown Akasaka. It's really centrally located and is on a number of train lines with the subway station conveniently located in the hotel's basement. We found some fabulous restaurants and bars in walking distance and it's also near to a few sights such as Hie Shrine and the Japanese Diet (parliament) building.
I had reason to email the concierge a number of times prior to our visit and was so impressed with the level of service and attention to detail provided. The staff also spoke excellent English which isn't always the case in Tokyo hotels.
At the end of our Japan trip we returned to The Capitol for 3 days and I wish it had been longer. We booked a Club Deluxe King for this part of our trip. The room was quite a bit larger than the non club rooms and similarly well appointed.
We didn't get a chance to use the gym which is included in the Club rate but we did make use of the Club which was decent enough. In fact this is probably the only area that the hotel lets itself down somewhat (and I'm really clutching at straws to find something). They provide good drinks and canapes and there's a nice view but it's not quite as good as other clubs I have experienced.
Wi-fi in the club stopped working a few times on both the nights we were there and staff seemed unconcerned. This was frustrating given we were trying to plan our evenings via the web!! On our departure from Tokyo we had an evening flight and asked if we could have club access post check out which was refused. I found this a little surprising as other hotels have always accommodated this request.
But these are very small gripes and really shouldn't detract from staying here. I will definitely stay at The Capitol again when in Tokyo. Top marks!
