“It just works, in that dated Japanese way”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 February 2012 via mobile

It's a great hotel, fantastic service, quiet, clean, spacious and a great location, the only downside is the rooms in the main building, not unlike the rest of Tokyo, is dated in that wood/pine Japanese way!!! Otherwise it would get a much higher rating! Still a great place to stay!! Recommended!

“Great hotel in the heart of Tokyo”

Very nice hotel even if it does look a little ancient - rooms are very nice but no wifi in the hotel which is a little shocking for a high end hotel. Great location.

“Imperial Luxury”

A great hotel replete with luxury. From the bath robes, to the room decor, to the electric curtains, Fantastic location near Ginza and Imperial Palace. Well trained professional staff. Everything anticipated by the staff to please guests. They go out of their way to please with a smile and a bow. Great food quality restaurants, especially having diner on the park side. If you like sushi and sashimi you will fall in love with the quality at the Imperial. One of the best hotels when in Tokyo.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the |Imperial Palace park side have the best views

“worth it for the money”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 February 2012

Great location of the hotel. The ambiance was quite conducive to romantic mood-setting. The hotel is within walking distance of numerous excellent places to dine and sights to see. The staff with one exception is very courteous and helpful. Foods are good. Nice rooms, very clean and spacey. Everything is satisfying in this hotel. Will stay here again.

“Heaven in Tokyo”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 February 2012

Last year I spent nearly 30 days at the Imperial and hosted a conference there in Janaury, 2012. The service is immpecable. I am greeted by name when I arrived and I never have to worry about a single thing not being correct.
My room is always in the main building and is extremely quiet.
The Parkside Diner is fine for breakfast although it is on the expensive side.
The location of the Imperial is perfect for anyone having to do business with the Japanese Government agencies or the Diet. In many cases, you can walk to your government appointments in less than 15 minutes.
I believe the Imperial is one of the truly great hotels in the world.
