We found this hotel nicely tucked away in Shunjuku (by the way, walk to the back alley area and check out the Hosts Bar and their big dogs). There is a quaint little Kushiyaki restaurant tucked away nearby (sorry but can't for the life of me remember the location) which serves excellent Kushiyaki - note, you can't just go in and have sake/beers as we found out. We got thrown out.
Love how the hotel provides little things like hair bands and disposable packs of facial washes for use. The room is very standard and small in comparison to the Ryokan we had in Shiga Kogen, but for the price it's ok. Toilet is quite cramped however, but I presume this is the standard throughout Tokyo due to space constraints.
Pro - love the free internet in the lobby and the breakfast. Toast and coffee makes me happy.
Con - my friends next door claimed our room has a perpetual weed smell. We concur. It wasn't us.
