I had a short holiday of touring Japan with my sister and mom, and we needed to stay one night in Tokyo before their flight back to Europe. After a long day of sightseeing we took a taxi from Shinjuku station to Citadines (we were tired and not sure how to get there on foot or using subway, and my map reading skills proved themselves to be non-existant during the course of the day in Tokyo). We arrived nicely after a short ride and found our luggage already waiting for us in the lobby (we used luggage delivery service in airport so we didn't have to carry around our bags whole day or worry about finding big enough coin-locker to fit our suitcases).
The hotel check-in was fast and the staff very pleasant, helpful and professional. The room was nice and clean (and if you forget your shampoo, toothbrush, -paste, comb, cottonsticks, showercap, etc. worry not, you can get everything complimentary in Citadines). The kitchen corner (fully equipped) was very useful and gave us freedom to choose whether to dine out, order in or prepare our own dish. The size of the room was enough to fit 3 adults (although 2 would have more room to move around). And all this in an affordable price (for center of Tokyo a very good price).
One thing what I'm not sure is the availability of WiFi, though. That's not saying there isn't any wireless or wired network connection available, just I was unable to find free network in a very brief view before falling asleep (I really did not spend more than a minute to look the WiFi availability and didn't even check the wired option).
The hotel neighborhood was nice, safe and quiet, and the beds were very comfortable, so it was really good sleep.
Next time in Tokyo I'll definitely stay again in Citadines Shinjuku (and I'm sure so will my family).
A few notes:
* Getting to Citadines from Shinjuku station by taxi about 800yen,
with subway 1 or 2 stops (depending on whether you want to step out in Shinjuku-Sanchome or in Shinjuku-Gyoemmae - Citadines is situated between them) with Marunouchi line (red line) 160yen,
or just on foot (getting around Shinjuku station can be somewhat confusing due to its enormous size, so get yourself a good map)
** Large information maps are hanging almost in every street corner in Tokyo center area
