“Great rooms for the price.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 November 2011

The hotel was very clean and checking in was super easy with their English ready reception staff. The room quality is very nice for the value; I got a much more deluxe feeling room than I expected to. I never ate at the hotel because I noticed the prices were a bit expensive in general, so I ate elsewhere to save on money. Overall, I'd stay here again if I was ever in Shinjuku.

“Small but essential. Great location too!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 November 2011

We stayed here 4 nights last year in December 2010. Rooms are a little on the small side, but for this location, I guess that's the norm. 5 minutes walk to the Shinjuku JR station. Great eats around the hotel too (e.g. Tenya Tempura just behind the hotel).

Toilets are very cool. They have one of those fancy Japanese toilets, and a heater behind the mirror so it wouldn't fog up. Like I said, rooms may be small, but they have everything that you could possibly need.

“Everything is downstairs at your doorstep!”

Location: Very central and close to everything, if you exit the building, everything you will possibly need is just across the street in the Kabukichō district. Although it is a red light district, I have never felt safer! Extremely crowded at night, feels like no one ever sleeps in this district.
If you cross the street and walk around the small streets and alley ways, I can't remember what it was called, but it was a Japanese BBQ where you order meats/seafood to grill, from memory there was only one in the area and I can guarantee you that the meat quality will wow you! Across the street from the hotel is also a 24/7 McDonalds and a littler further down is a burger king (for those that get sick of local food)

Hotel Room: Hotel room was excellent, very clean, small but there is enough space. On our floor down near the lifts there were also drink machines (includes beer cans) and snack machines, just in case you can't be bothered going down stairs during the night although everything is just across the street. If you exit the building, make a right you'll see another entrance to the shopping mall with tons of shops for clothing and what not! Restaurants too, I believe if you walk down into the subway, find a lift and it'll take you up to level 8 where all the restaurants are.

Staff are also great, and spoke good English. They helped us organise our luggage transfers from start to end!

Would highly recommend this hotel!

Room Tip: Get a room facing the Kabukichō side.

“Enjoyable Experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 November 2011

Just back from a 5 night stay in the Shinjuku Prince hotel, we had the 30sqm deluxe room which was lovely. We were on 16th floor and had a lovely view of the city. The room was a good size and was very clean. We needed an iron which was promptly delivered to the room. We didnt eat in the hotel as the prices were quite expensive but there was a multitude of restaurants surrounding the hotel.
The hotel is in a great location for the train and bus station.
Overall we enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning to Tokyo and staying here again
