I stayed at Agnes Hotel on a business trip. I can't fault the hotel at all: the rooms are well-appointed - complete with heated toilet seat and jacuzzi bath - and the service is impeccable. Breakfast is a sort of fusion buffet with cereals available but also oriental options and eggs to order.
The only caution to offer is that it's hard to find. If you have been to Tokyo before you'll know addresses are notoriously imprecise. Our cabbie was ready to drop us in the rain at the bottom of a staircase until I pleaded the heaviness of my bag and he went and asked a local shopkeeper for directions. If it helps, there's street access from the road running along the canal (I forget the name) and there's a university building and the British Council offices on either side of the intersection.
The area itself is great, considered the French area of Tokyo, with lots of narrow alleys and amazing restaurants.
