We lasted less than 48 hours. We felt as we somehow ended at a private party... Everythng was for the owners family and friends, the room was old and shabby. Everythng was old and worn out. We did not feel welcome and well looked after!

we had a fantastic stay at eden bungalows, the french couple and their thai staff particularly joy and poy(?) were very friendly and spoke good english, the bungalows and rooms were very clean and decorated with taste, the garden, although small, was peaceful and green and the pool inviting, the café/restaurant had good thai food and a variety of good breakfasts at good prices - we found everyone very helpful too and happy to advise you on things to see or what needed organising etc, in all a really good stay and we would happily return at any time

I booked a single night at the Eden as my first stop on a 30 day journey.
I ended up staying there the entire time.
Eden Bungalows is run by a French couple (Gérald and Lydia) supported by a very nice and helpful Thai staff.
They will make you feel straight at home !
Do not be afraid of not being French (like some reviewers are saying) as the speak fluent English and they will always be there to help you out, to answer any questions you may have about Koh Samui !
The rooms are not pre-formatted like what you can find when staying in big hotel chains.
They are very charming with all the required accomodations you need in Samui (A/C, Fan, Fridge/Mini Bar, Shower, etc..)
The pool is good enough but who needs a pool when you're on a tropical island
The hotel sits at the end of Fisherman Village and is near everything!

One thing is true is that the beach at Bophut isn't the best in Samui.
You will find better (and busier) beaches just a few miles away and they are all within a motorbike ride :) (you have got to rent a bike :) )

If you're a Diver...you will find one of Samui's best dive club right next door (Bophut Diving School)

The Eden Bungalows is a perfect place for all ages...from 7 to 77!
I cannot wait to be back.

This was a great find - lovely pool, great rooms with individual balconies, hotel resto with bar and pool and mopeds to rent - fab location and friendly, helpful staff. Great value - loved it and would def go back.
