My daughter and I (12y) are diving enthusiasts from Sweden and have become very good friends with Kevan, Chantal and the rest of the staff at Phuket Scuba Club. And this time, they were as friendly and professional as always! Simply world class. This time we spent our first week in Kata Beach diving from the beach and doing daytrips from Chalong pier. The second week, Phuket Scuba Club booked us on a wonderful liveaboard on “the Junk”, cruising the Similan and Surin islands including Richelieu Rock and Koh Bon. What a trip! Amazing diving, great staff and the best food you can imagine. We have already started to plan for the next diving trip to Phuket Scuba Club.

Phuket Scuba Club were amazing throughout my stay in Phuket, so much that I ended up diving and spending more time underwater than I had anticipated.

From my first refresher dive off the shore to the 3day/2day Similian Islands boat trip organised and luxury day trips, the club provided me with endless information, support and the best instructors that I have met to date.

I would very much like to thank Kevan, Chantal and the club for so making me feel so welcome and providing me with so much professionalism and care over my 4 week trip.

All the instructors are well versed with the local and harder to reach sites, but the enthusiasm and attention to detail to the specific habitants of the diverse marine ecosystem was outstanding: from the location of the smallest juvenile fish to a whole clan of mating cuttlefish by night.

The club is positively passionate about every aspect of diving and each dive was fun, stress-free, informative and inspiring.

Having dived in different parts of the globe over many years, Phuket Scuba Club definitely is leagues above the rest and I would highly recommend them.

I contacted Chantal, part owner of Phuket Scuba Club and a TripAdvisor travel expert, about non-dive related questions. Not only did she provide me with local contact numbers that I couldn’t find on the internet, when I arrived, even though I was not diving, she and Kevin graciously included me in the club, inviting me to join them for both Christmas and New Year’s dinners. Aptly named, the scuba “club” provides more than diving services. Though I came to Phuket for the weather and a personal retreat, the most memorable part was the generosity I experienced from Chantal and Kevin. They have a gift for creating community that transcends the diving experience as they embrace an eclectic group of people of a variety of ages. They hosted the best meals I had in Thailand, inviting all who had dived along with long time friends; the mix provided lively conversation. Having been in the area for 18 years, they were able to provide background into the evolving development of the area and a wonderful analysis of current conditions. They suggested non-diving activities for me and provided me with contacts. At a time when so many of the tourists are Russian, it was especially nice to be provided with an enclave of English speaking locals and travelers. I got the rest I so needed, yet never felt socially isolated, thanks to the gracious warmth of Chantal and Kevin.

The scuba staff was enthusiastic about their work and seemed conscientious and informed. Those who dove, from families to experienced divers, raved about The Phuket Scuba club providing a fantastic experience. Many come repeatedly to dive with the club. Next time I want them to design a diving trip for me!

As first time divers, we chose the Phuket Scuba for our first diving experience with their 'Discover scuba diving' programme. And what an amazing experience we had!
We took the shore dive off Karon beach in the morning specifically for training and followed that up with a dive off Koh Pu island in the afternoon. The island is about 10 minutes away by a Long tail boat.
Very professional and friendly staff. Special thanks to Dragos for all the patience in training first time divers and to overcome our fears. We always felt very safe and thoroughly enjoyed the dives.
We recommend Phuket scuba club for anyone looking to dive off Phuket! Unfortunately, we did not have any photos to take back with us, just fantastic memories.
