“Excellent location and nice rooms”

I stayed in Las Gaviotas during summer holidays.
The hotel is nicely situated, with only 2 minutes walk from the beach. Playa de Muro is a very quiet place, there is not too much going on, and everything is very touristic.
However, if you know Mallorca well, it is an ideal place to start day trips to several locations.

The room was very big and clean, the design is very simple and modern, and the bed is really comfortable. Especially the bathroom is huge and very modern, with a walk-in shower.
We also liked the fact that we had a balcony, accessible from both the living room and the bedroom. Really nice!

The main nationalities in the hotel are Swedish and British, as well as Germans.
As it is a suite hotel, there are many families. This didn't bother us, but if you prefer a quiet holiday, this is probably not the best choice to make, especially if you like to spend time at the pool.

The food was good but nothing spectacular, and the atmosphere in the restaurant was not very nice, as it was very big and noisy. The drinks in the bar are good and well-priced, and the service is friendly and attentive.

In general, I would definitely recommend Las Gaviotas, especially when you're looking for a stylish well-located hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for an upgrade to a suite. They have double rooms as well, but they are very small. Upgrading do...

“Loved this hotel”

I really loved this hotel. Its the smartest building on the road, and it has a lovely bar downstairs. I had a large room with a separate lounge area and a long balcony overlooking the middle pool. I found the other pool is better for sun bathing as it gets more sun. The food was really good.
There are also lots of restaurants nearby to eat in the evening, and the beach is a short walk away (around 5 minutes I would say). I would really recommend staying here.

“Will be back”

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for one week but quickly wished it was two. The suite was just perfect overlooking the pool and had a white leather suite which was really nice as most hotels of supposedly same standard have the usual boring brightly coloured material. The location is across a busy road from a lovely long white sandy beach and there are plenty eateries and bars in the area. The hotel bar has the white leather theme throughout and the staff new how to make various cocktails with a smile always. Breakfast was very nice and the whole hotel was very clean with very polite staff at reception, breakfast and bar. For the more energetic it it a nice walk along the beach, maybe around 45 minutes from Playa de Muro to Alcudia or for the less energetic it was a short bus ride ( bus stop outside hotel) or an even shorter taxi ride. There is plenty of choices for food and drink in Alcudia but we likes a few little local places, you can tell they are very good by how popular they are.
All in all we both loved this hotel and tried to book up for the winter only to find it was closed for the season,oh well.
We Will Be Back!

Room Tip: I would recommend a suite

“Excellent Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 November 2011

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent holiday at Las Gaviotas Suites Hotel. We found the hotel staff very friendly and extremely helpful and the hotel was bright, airy and clean with a nice cosmpolitan atmosphere. The food was excellent with a very good choice to suit all tastes. The swimming pool areas and gardens were well tended and there were plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas. There are lots of shops and restaurants close to the hotel and the beach was a short distance away. There are bus stops outside the hotel which makes it easy to visit Palma and the North Coast Resorts. It is a very pleasant stroll to the Port of Alcudia along the path on the beach. We look forward to returning to Las Gaviotas in the future.

“Brilliant amazing experience, worth more than 5 star review.”

We stayed here right at the end of the season. In fact the hotel closed for the winter on our last day. This did not detract in any way from the experience. From the moment we arrived tha staff could not do enough for us, despite there only being a few people left staying there.
The rooms are to be seen to be believed, absolutely amazing. I have stayed in similar rated hotels all over the world but this rates as one of the very best. I don't know how they can charge these prices. Would be much much more anywhere else. The staff were brilliant, especially the two reception staff, Anita I think one was called from Poland I think. She was brilliant and the other lady whose name eludes me was equally as brilliant. Could not do enough for us.
The rooms are amazing, I think ours was number 328 at the back, absolutely massive, huge walk in shower, bathrobes, loads of posh toiletries, even a soft close toilet seat, massive bedroom, huge living room all white leather suites and the balcony, OMG!!!! absolutely huge with a great view at the rear of the huge pool, jacuzzi and spa pool further along. Loads of nice little touches which made you feel special. Water in the pool was a bit chilly but what do you expect for the end of October. The only downside was no spa, however the staff tell me that the hotel is putting one in for next season with a pool and everything, will be out of this world then. One little gripe we had was a lack of english channels on the tv in your room and no satellite channels, oh and the drinks at the bar were very expensive, but the surroundings at the bar made up for it a little. The food was excellent, freshly cooked and loads of it.
All in all it was a brilliant base for our mini break. There is not a lot to do in Alcdia at that time of the year but in the height of season you can imagine it to be buzzing.
Thanks very much to Las Gaviotas - probably the best hotel I have ever stayed in................BRILLIANT

Room Tip: Get a room at the back overlooking the huge pool. I think our room was 328. Amazing all round
