Ballinacourty House B&B has an adjoining campsite and it's here we stayed for the August Bank Holiday Weekend.
From the moment we drove through the gates, we knew we'd found somewhere special. The toilets, showers, kitchen areas etc. were spotlessly clean and kept that way at all times. On site facilities included a playgound, tennis court, games room and even an animal farm.
The farm was a big hit with the kids - you can help out feeding the pigs and any eggs that the hens or ducks lay are for sale in the shop the next day - great for a bunch of city slickers like us!
On the Bank Holiday Sunday, a fun day was arranged with a treasure hunt, face painting, races and later that evening a trad band played for all.
The Glen of Aherlow is a beautiful spot and famous for it's walks. The weather was slightly against us so we didn't get to do too much hiking. There's plenty to do in the general area so it didn't stop us from having a good time.
We'll definitely be back to stay here again.
