“An absolute gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 January 2011

Stayed with Mary and her family at Ballinacourty for the Glen of Aherlow Winter Walking Festival last weekend. Absolutely fantastic place to stay and I cannot recommend enough the restaurant at Ballinacourty - the food and service was first class. The value menu had to been seen to be believed.
Mary and her sister were fantastic hosts and I wish them every success.

“An enjoyable stay in a picturesque setting”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 November 2010

My sister and her husband had stayed at the Ballinacourty house on a previous trip to Ireland, and she chose to stay here again when booking b&bs for our 6 adults family trip. Ballinacourty house is a pretty cool b&b from a visual standpoint, as it was formerly used as a stables, so the courtyard and it's entrance look like something out of an old movie, it was easily the most photogenic of all the b&bs we stayed in. Our hostess was very friendly and accommodating, the breakfast served was very good, and the rooms were very nice. Ballinacourty house is located in a country setting off a very narrow road (I know, how odd, a narrow road in Ireland) with the Glen of Aherlow as a backdrop. I would not hesitate to stay here again as I enjoyed my stay here.

“Great value for money with a fantastic restaurant and wonderful hostess”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 September 2010

This was without a shadow of doubt one of the best B&B's I have ever stayed at. The building is an old coaching house with comfortable rooms and one of the best features is Mary who runs the place. She made us extremely welcome and makes the most fantastic breakfast with bacon that is to die for from the local butcher. Nothing was too much trouble and we thoroughyl enjoyed our visit. The food in the restaurant comprised generous protions and the steaks were excellent. We had the Irish summer whilst we were there on one day and climbed Galtymore, one of the Irish Munroe's which has tremendous views. The countryside is definitely the best place to be and I recommend driving through Tipperary and not stopping!

“Home from home (if not better)!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 August 2010

We were fortunate to be able to stay here for B&B whilst visiting the Glen of Aherlow. Mary's hospitality is outstanding, she could not do enough for us. The full irish breakfast included freshly prepared home-made marmalade and freshly baked soda bread. In addition, we had pleasure in having an evening meal in their restaurant, which was delicious. Ballinacourty House is ideally situated in the mountains and is a good base from which to explore such attractions as: The Rock of Cashel; Cahir Castle; Mitchelstown Caves; Clonbeg Church with St. Sedna's Well and of course, there are many delightful walks from your doorstep. Whether you are looking for B&B, self-catering or camping & caravanning in the area, you will have trouble finding anywhere better in our opinion.

“Nice start into our Holidays”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 July 2010

This was our first stay in Ireland - and it was a very good start!!!

The setting of the B&B is extremely picturesquely set into the Glen of Aherlowe. Rustic house (stone walls, flowery gardens,...)
All in all very beautiful!!

Restaurant in House!
Breakfast extremely good (healthy options!)
