... that is, if you can still get up the 30 degree sections of the hill to get to it! We pushed our bikes the last bit and were ready for shower, rest and food after a long haul on from Santiago de Cuba (with a 30+ km nasty gravel section). This is a neat little spot on a hill off of the town of Chivirico, and the rooms are large, pleasant and have decks with spectacular views (we had the sunset side - amazing). We emerged from our shower just as an afternoon snack was put on a table - after everyone had their pick, we cleared the rest without hesitation. The other guests (about 10-15) all appeared to come from Quebec and hung out in their little clique. We were greeted only by two of them and that might have been a good thing. Dinner was ok, but not plentiful (at least for bicyclists like us). Breakfast buffet somewhat made up for it and we upped our food intake. This may not be the place for budget travellers, as the night costs CUC 130 (all inclusive), but we found the comfort, quiet and scenery (also beach access via a long stairway) made it worthwhile. As for the Quebecers, just force-join them or ignore them.
