My wife and I enjoyed our week-long stay at Garden-By-The-Sea very much. The b&b
is very colorful, casual, and relaxing. There were 3 bedrooms with an open-air patio for
everyone to use. The owners were extremely accomomdating to the needs of the guests.
(although they were looking to sell the b&b to concentrate on a rental villa on the island)

We were celebrating a ten year anniversary and wanted a little R&R on St. John. We enjoyed our experience on the Island and with our knowledgable & enjoyable hosts. The location for us was excellent. We wanted a place to relax, yet being close enough to some fun evening entertainment. If you enjoy a stroll, the B&B is just a 5 to 10 minute walk into Cruz Bay, with the nice beach bars and music. We looked forward to the evening walk, listening to the music as we walked into town. Then after a few enjoyable hours of music, food and refreshments, no car needed, just a stroll along the water, over a hill and back to the B&B. Awesome. We enjoyed our morning meal and start to each day. Our hosts provided beach chairs, small cooler and tips on fun activities on the island. We did rent a jeep for several days and you'll enjoy the up and over on the road to the B&B. It's a actually a little scary, the drive down that is. So, ask about the loop road that keeps you at sea level. You can get your thrill ride around the island and not between Cruz Bay docks and the B&B. We stayed in the Garden Suite and would stay there again. As you'll read in other reviews, the open bathroom and homes up the hill side, make for an intimate affair. Just relax, keep the light low and enjoy the trip to nature. It's a memory maker and good one. In addition to our fun hosts, we enjoyed the two other couples staying at that time. Our hosts have a very nice place and helped make our ten year anniversary a wonderful getaway. We would recommend Garden by the Sea! Katie and Mike

John and Nancy are amazing hosts. We felt at home at once! The Wild Ginger room has a wonderful shower with a view to the sky! The food was fantastic. Walking distance to Cruz Bay yet very peaceful. We will stay there agin on our next visit!

I have been meaning to write my review for quite some time. The food was aboslutely delicious every morning. The location was nice and could walk to cruz bay. Our favorite beach of all the beautiful beaches was honeymoon beach which we hiked too. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. the hosts really went above and beyond. In reality i would give the B&B 4.5 stars if i could. The only things i would change is that the pillows were flat and uncomfortable for me, and the bathroom could use a few updates like new toilet seat . But i would definitely come back. St. John is a gorgeous island and part of the U.S. too. The b&b did not have a pool but the beaches are so gorgeous that i didnt care at all. The porch area of the B&B is a lovely place to sit and have a drink or breakfast.
