“A place where things are taken for granted...”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 February 2012

This hotel caters to the American businessmen and embassy staff due to its location. The hotel leaves a lot to be desired when compared to other hotels that are in the area. I tried this property out because of the points program but have decided that it is not worth it. Had several incidents where complaints were filed with the hotell staff and nothing was addressed the first time around. The hotel is basically a "cave" not having any windows and therefore feels dark and cold. Located next to the alternative lifestyle quarter (Zona Rosa has changed in nature over the last several years) it offers the visitor either weird entertainment or disgusting sights depending on the visitor's tolerance levels.

There are definitely better options available for the same cost.

Room Tip: According to the staff all the rooms are the same... which to me means boxy and dark rooms.

“Great location, Internet service costly”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 January 2012

I stayed here for 3 nights, executive level room with access to the 16th Floor lounge. The lounge amenities are nice although I heard one guest being told there was a two free drink limit.

The Internet service was MXP250//day. The connection was slow (for that price) and I expected that it should have been included given the premium I paid for the executive room.

Room Tip: There's a lot of constructioin in the area so request a room away from Reforma.

“So, so hotel, OK for a business trip.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 January 2012

I stayed at the hotel for one night during business trip. The room is small but has good ammenities. Internet connection is decent, expect 1-2Mbps. One thing I did found was the long lines to check in and check out. Took me 20 minutes waiting to be checked in. I also saw a couple of guests complaining on some charges. I did not had any problems. Bed was too soft for me, no pillow options. Is a good hotel for business right in Reforma, but the location can also be a problem. All manifestants usually use Reforma street. Rooms in the right side of the building do not have a view at all, they face towards a building onlu about 60 ft from you.

Room Tip: choose a room facing to the street.

“Great Value hotel at Reforma”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 January 2012

My wife and I stayed here with Marriot rewards points. The location is excellent. It is one block away from the angel and one block away from the 222 shopping mall where you have places to eat, shop and a movie theater. The hotel facilities are great. Furniture looks new. Rooms are Marriott standard nice to spend the night with comfortable bed and pillows. Restaurant is very nice. Sunday brunch is quite good also. I share the opinion on the wifi internet price. We just used the iphone connection and also we used the business center for a quick connection once. However, the experience was positive in balance.

“Excellent location in Reforma Avenue near "El Angel"”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 January 2012

I love this hotel location in the heart of Reforma Avenue. It is very close to Reforma 222 commercial center, and "El Angel" place. Rooms are simple decorating but B&W pictures with black marks give a distinctive look. Everything is new at the hotel: carpets, furniture and, as usual at Marriot, bed and pillows are gorgeous! Sunday brunch buffet is quite various.
