The owners and their little dog were friendly and the breakfast they prepared and was excellent. The bed was big and comfortable. That said, everything seemed a bit overpriced. Our "Master Room" had a great tub plus a shower. But if a hotel needs me to place used toilet paper in the garbage bucket next to the stool, the bucket needs to have a plastic bag type liner. We had to use two of our own laundry (plastic) bags for this purpose. There was a kids carnival set up outside the hotel. When we asked about the noise, the owner said the world was a noisy place - after he had pre-charged us for two nights. The noise went on until around 11:00 the first night and well past 2:00 AM (the carnival decided to move in another ride after closing at 11:30) on the second night of our stay. The final night should have been discounted - the place was empty except for us and it was impossible to get a decent nights' sleep. Possibly a TV would have helped drown out the noise since reading was out of the question. We said goodbye without a complaint - sometimes it just not worth the effort.

Lo Nuestro petit hotel is the great place to stay in Tulum Pueblo. Hotel is a small, family hotel, decorated in Mexican style, with open kitchen in the garden where we had our breakfasts. Rooms were clean and comfortable with a hammock for each room. It is a place for the tourists that want to experience Mexico, its cuisine and visit many places (the rooms do not have TVs and the hotel does not have pool - but for us it was perfectly ok). The hotel is great. The main advantage of the hotel are its owners: Mirka and Jorje. They were very open, friendly and really treated us as a family. Each day Mirka prepared special Mexican breakfasts for us (each day something different) and explained how the particular dish should be prepared. Mirka and Jorje gave us a lot of tips and guidelines where to eat and what and how to visit. They live dozen of years on Yucatan and know the area very well. They also helped us a lot when my wife got sick after eating something on the street. The hotel is located very close to many restaurants and little shops. You have to take taxi or rent a bike to go to the beach or Zona Archeologica, but this is a great place to make trips to Chichen Itza, Coba, Akumal, many cenotes like Grand Cenote or Dos Ojos (you cannot catch collectivo to Akumal or ADO to Coba directly from cabanas located on the beach) and very nice to spend the time in the town. I strongly recommend this hotel and its owners.

In almost 45 years of travel, I cannot remember such a bad experience with an hotel, even in far remote places and modest accommodations.
Very cold reception, dark and uncomfortable room on the 1st floor where I had to haul my luggage by myself, no bottled water available (truly !), revolting breakfast.
I strongly advise to think twice before putting up there as there is moreover no lack of hotels in Tulum.
