An ideal place if you have a car to get around. Ernesto and his family had some great rooms for us, accompanied by warm smiles, and great recommendations for beach and food. I wish I could have stayed longer. Hotel Palma Real sings of real people with heart and hospitality. Thanks Ernesto!

Room tip: From the few rooms I saw, most had 2 queen sized beds, and hammock hooks to hold more people.

I recently stayed at this hotel with my two children. Its location between Tulum and Coba was great for us, as we wanted to visit Coba and the Punta Laguna nature reserve but not stay in overpriced Tulum.

The hotel was pleasant; the room clean, spacious and quiet; and the staff helpful and friendly.

There's really nothing bad to say about this pleasant and affordable hotel.

It was cheap. My review could end here but the 3 words that sum it up do not reach the TA minimum character requirement for a review!

The rooms are spacious. The lighting is poor. The bathroom is tiny. Put the air con on & you think there's a helicopter in the room. The bed was comfortable, On the whole, the room was clean. The pool didn't look inviting. There is a small restaurant in the village which was OK or you can drive back down to Tulum where there is loads of choice.

All that said, believe it or we actually ended up staying here twice during our 5 week trip...
because it was so cheap. I felt accommodation in Tulum was vastly overpriced. But I regretted returning and wished we'd stayed elsewhere - at any cost!

It's tolerable for one night given the price - get in late, leave early - providing you keep your expectations low.

We, a family of four, stayed here for a month and we were totally happy. The room was clean and it was cleaned daily. The boys loved the pool, even though the water was a bit cold. We used the hotel kitchen to cook our own meals and of course used the nearby small restaurants. The staff speaks little english and we little spanish and we got along very well. Many many thanks for the hospitality!!!

A basic clean hotel on the way to Coba from Tulum, which is why we stayed there three nights. Some small restaurants nearby of questionable sanitation. however, the hotel was fine, beds ok , hot water shower and ok $5 breakfast. Pool looked fine, but didn't use it. You better know some Spanish, since they don't know much English, but what do you expect for $30

Room tip: Get a room towards the back to avoid the road noise
