We go to Banff for skiing about 6-8 weekends a year so have stayed in most hotels. The Caribou is my favorite because the rooms are immaculate, generously sized, beautifully decorated in earth tones with scenic pictures (not tacky pictures) and wrought iron beds and accents. The beds are super comfy with high quality sheets and duvets. This is the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in - even the parkade is pretty with historic photos and lovely elevator lobbies..The hot tub is huge with great jets as well as a steam room and sauna. I have not used the spa services. The front desk staff are extremely professional and helpful. Its about a 5 minute walk to the restaurants and shops of Banff Avenue.

Lovely hotel, very friendly helpful staff - genuinely couldn't do enough for guests. Attention to detail good. Pleasantly surprised how nice it was. Beds very comfy, spa good. Keg in foyer v convenient. Great breakfast. Would definitely stay there again. After a long day ski ing felt like coming home....

Really liked this place, it’s not in the centre of Banff so it’s a drive to get into town (or get the free bus) but it’s a very pleasant place to stay. Rooms are clean, well appointed and spacious and the hotel as a really pleasant ambience to it that seemed to be missing from other properties in the area.

Particularly recommend the lovely spa area, we had it to ourselves when we were there. Worth the outlay, good value for money.

I stayed with my family for 3 nights between Christmas and new years. The Hotel has been recently renovated, the bathrooms looked really nice and clean, they still need to change the carpets on the hallways that looked really old. The hotel is conveniently located within a walking distance form the town center, we walked to the stores, there is a supermarket close by to buy snacks and food to take to the mountains and not have to pay the prices at the ski resorts, we also walked to the movie theater. Hotel has an underground parking and ski lockers included in the room price. We ate twice at the Keg, and the food was good. Even though we used the hotel mostly for sleeping after all day skiing, we found it a good choice during that time of the year and it did offer us a good night of restful sleep. I would recommend it to couples and families.
