We enjoyed a lovely 2 night stay here on Robson Street, right within walking distance to everything downtown.
The lobby isn't much but the superior double queen room on the 28th floor was delightful, complete with a balcony & incredible view. Very spacious room with comfy beds & pillows.
Had a nice breakfast at hotel restaurant. Safe & secure parking on site. Easy check in/out & friendly staff.
Will definitely stay here again the next time we come up to Vancouver!

We just recently stayed at the Blue Horizon for the second time, as the first visit was very good and we were not disappointed . The hotel is a trendy little spot in a great part of Vancouver. Nothing better then walking along Robson or the water front. The location is perfect.
The hotel is old but redone and is very nice, rooms are large and everything is very fresh and clean. The beds are comfortable and spacious.
Would advise booking a room with a view, we didn't this trip and even on the 17th floor we couldn't see the water, there is an up charge for the view but well worth it.
Rates are really good for downtown Vancouver Staff is excellent. This will be our go to spot on our many trips to Vancouver.

Room tip: Ask for a room with a view facing north or west.

I stayed here October 24 in a superior room on the 29th floor. I've stayed at Blue Horizon on past visits over the years which is why I call it classic. I rate it highly because it's the perfect place to stay--great room, comfortable bed, spacious (and I mean that), with a fine city view. Its location on Robson is perfect. The friendly staff need to be mentioned as well--accommodating and they give you service with a smile. I noted the remodeling that had been so tastefully done as well. My one perhaps off comment would be that the elevator lighting seemed too bright for me and who is the woman in the pics? I'm sure there's a story behind her and I must admit it made me chuckle as I got off the elevators each time but yet my personal choice would be something not so bold. But overall it doesn't matter because to this visitor from the states I'll always pick the Blue Horizon. it is a fine hotel. Oh and the Adobe restaurant is fine too!!

Room tip: I'd always been told to ask for rooms on higher floors or you would get street noise. I don't know about that cause I've always stayed on higher floors! Room 2901 was perfect for us.

Dear JoJoSmiles,

Thank you for your splendid recommendation!

You were greeted by Marilyn, who is featured in our three elevator photos, which stage see no evil, hear no evil and speak no evil. Iconic to our first hotel guest, Marilyn`s fun-loving demeanor represents many years of joyful stays our guests have had at the Blue Horizon. She reminds us that some things don`t change-still going the extra mile to provide outstanding service for our guests.

Glad you enjoyed our ABODE restaurant, hope you were able to try our new fall menu item-Moroccan Lamb Shank which is Vancouver`s food star contender.

Fantastic that we are your Vancouver home away from home, and we look forward welcoming you back soon.

Regards,

Paul

We had a room on the 14th floor with a balcony and good views over the city. The rooms are large and very comfortable beds. We had breakfast and dinner in the dining room on several occassions and the food was very good.
Would recommend this hotel and stay there again if visiting Vancouver

Room tip: Corner suites have good views and the higher rooms are better

The Blue Horizon is a great option to stay when visiting Vancouver. It's located on Robson St at an excellent location. Lots of restaurants, a drugstore just around the corner (London Drugs), lots of buses to go everywhere and in a safe location. Walking distance to Stanley Park, this is worthy a full day visit (including the Vancouver aquarium). Other options of hotel (some Best westerns) are located in a bit run-down part of the city, so I’m glad we chose the blue horizon. The rooms are clean and very spacious! It's been a while since I stayed in rooms so big. Great view because we got the 28th floor. We got a superior room (it has a balcony), but my friends got a standard room are just the same! (No balcony, which in fact didn't make any difference). Bathroom is very clean although a little small. Staff at the front desk was very kind and helpful even when we left at 4:00 AM! They called a taxi which arrived in less than 5 minutes! Definitely will stay there again! Breakfast was not included and we ate downstairs inside the hotel which was pretty convenient. But there are other options around. A great greek restaurant nearby Stepho’s on 1359 Robson st. Great food and good price. Be prepared for a little wait in line… there is also a good Italian restaurant on Robson that unformtunately I forgot the name, few meters after Stepho’s in the direction of Stanley park. Great pasta!
