Stayed in this hotel December 2011 for a wedding. The hotel room was very nice and clean. The hotel lounge was nice also.
In getting ready for the wedding, we wanted to listen to some music. There was a clock-radio in the room, but I remember it being very confusing to operate (and I have a masters degree in a technical field). I think it had think it had preset stations that couldn't be changed.
Anyways we tried to find a music station on the TV and I think we accidentally selected one that is pay-service. We then quickly turned it off because (obviously) we didn't want to pay for something like music.
Unfortunately the next day when we checked out, we saw a charge of 14.99 for "in-house movies" on the bill. We didn't watch a movie, so this must have been for the music (since when does music cost 14.99?). When we complained, the receptionist rudely said nothing could be done because the TV services were provided through a third-party. We had no choice but to pay for something that we didn't want at all and didn't use at all. So much for customer service.
To make things worse, we were charged two full days of parking ($17 per day, $34 total), even though we only parked less than 24 hours (checked in at 3:00pm on saturday and checked out at 12:00 mid-day sunday).
I've read other reviews on the hotel mini-bar. Overall I guess if you want to stay at this hotel, expect to be charged for **everything** in excess of the room itself. And don't expect hotel staff to be compassionate about any complaints to the charges.
