The Francis Boutique Inn is a luxurious adult only, five star, multi award winning small hotel. The centrally located property is perched on a hilltop and adorned with beautiful harbour views. The six elegant and thoughtfully designed ‘hotel-style’ rooms are spacious, modern and clean. All suites also have access to the wonderful outdoor sauna & hot tub to soak in after a day of walking the trails and beaches. The Francis is also just a short drive away from Tofino, surrounded by Canada’s treasured Pacific Rim National Park Reserve, and just minutes to Vancouver Island’s highest rated Wild Pacific Trail. Come stay and be right at home. TIP: Bring your swim gear: The outdoor sauna and hot tub truly are wonderful; & because we are adult only & have only six suites by design, it is impeccably clean; it has tons of jets, & tucked away under the trees in the back of the property under a gazebo + has a star light displaying on the ceiling. Very relaxing & beautiful at the end of your day!

The accommodation was very clean, was modern and well-appointed. The bed was very comfortable and everything was provided for. The bathroom had a rain shower and regular shower with extra towels, hair drier, etc. The kitchenette had plates, cutlery, microwave, glasses, mugs, salt and pepper, lots of coffee in compostable pods, teas, etc. and mini refrigerator. There was a hot tub just outside the door. Very safe and parking just outside. Very kind owners who went out of their way to help accommodate me when I got ill. Will be staying there again!

Clean and well appointed. Little kitchenette was just enough. Hot tub was a perfect end to busy days. Artwork and other welcoming touches like robes and sandals were perfect. Best part was the central location - perfect to explore Ucluelet. Would highly recommend.

Everything about this place was great, from its location in the centre of town to the high quality, well-appointed rooms and the friendly lady who couldn't do more to assist us. We stayed for 3 nights and it was a perfect place for us to use as a base to explore the local area. The room (suite 2) was big, bright, had a very comfortable bed and a great view of the water and forest / mountain behind - for those that care, the wi-fi was also good! There is also a small kitchen area with a sink and fridge (and a microwave if I recall) and a table with a couple of chairs, so certainly a lot of space that made it feel less like a hotel room and more like a small suite. The bath / shower are not separated from the main room, which might be an issue for some visitors, but it was fine for us. From a location perspective, it was great - easy to find, plenty of parking and walking distance to the local supermarket, a couple of coffee shops and most of the restaurants. The one minor point is that it was a little pricey, but I guess you get what you pay for and it was certainly a great stay worth paying a bit more for.

We stayed at the Francis for one night. I wish we could have stayed more. The room perfectly equipped, very clean and with all the comforts. 100 percent recommended. The person who attended us, charming, very attentive and worried about us when the route we had to follow the main road was cut off and we had to turn around a lot. She informed us of everything. Very grateful for everything.

This is a nice inn. However, there is nothing "boutique" about it. What was listed as a luxe suite was in fact a large room. It was pleasant and spotlessly clean, and we did have a view of the harbor as listed. It had a tiny well equipped kitchen. The bathroom was awkward - a sink with no space whatsoever for toiletries, and a tub with a shower curtain but no door (the toilet itself was in separate closet-like enclosure). The Inn is very conveniently located in the center of town, walking distance to everything. So - overall a pleasant stay, but don't expect a luxury boutique property.

Beautiful hotel with a nice view. Sauna and hot tub available outside. Only we missed some clothing hooks in the bathroom, and a relax chair. The smoke detector was not working, but the fire department was nearby

Good location, very clean. The bathroom set up is not great. There is no separation into the bathroom. You can watch your partner getting into the shower…. Toilet is separate, but that’s it. There are also signs posted not to make too much noise for the people downstairs. Walls and floors must be paper thin…. Would stay elsewhere for the price.

Hi Paul, thank you for taking the time to write the review! All our suites are a bit different. For completely separate bathroom we'd recommend to book suite 3, 4, 5, or 6. Only suite 1 and 2 are more open concept, high ceilings, bright, with the option to watch TV from the bathtub, or just hang out with your loved one while they're taking a shower :) Floor insulation is something we have planned to improve as soon as we can. Thanks again for your review! Bara & Team Francis

This was such a nice place to spend a few days while exploring Ucluelet and Tofino. The room was super comfortable and clean with beautiful views, check in and check out were easy, and the hot tub was amazing after a day of hiking. We didn’t want our trip to end and left feeling rested and content :) Hope to stay again in the future!

We stayed here for two nights in early April and the weather was intolerable. Our consolation prize was staying in such a beautiful place that was quiet, peaceful and comfortable for a day of binge watching Netflix:). We had everything that we needed, although a toaster would have been good but not a deal breaker. We really appreciated all the additional touches like the lotions, fluffy towels, coffee pods, tea etc. Thank you for a lovely stay.
