Stayed at this Travelodge on Sunday 13th July for one night. My wife & I use Travelodge or Premier Inn occasionally and find them generally good.
We were in Cirencester to help family members move to a new house there, so we had previously booked a room in the Cirencester Travelodge. After having dinner in Cirencester with our family, we went our own ways. It took us 45 minutes to find the place! The Burford Road upon which the travelodge stands, albeit behind a stand of thick, tall conifers was subject to major roadworks and thus closed. The postcode provided for GPS purposes was no help either. We also drove into a new estate of which our Satnav had no clue.
We then decided to follow diversion signs which took us all the way into Wiltshire and back into Gloucestershire. Part of the Burford Road allowed for narrow lane, oneway traffic, and although we didn't know it, past the Travelodge! Went around again and pulled into a petrol station. The attendant was very helpful, walked across the forecourt with my wife and, pointing through the trees behind the station said "see that flag? - that's it!" and then gave us precise directions which finally got us there.
The Travelodge itself had recently been refirbished and was in excellent order. Our room was comfortable, bright and fresh in a sort of "Ikea" way, but suited very well.
Next door was a Burger King/Little Chef establishment, we used the "LC" which was their usual good standard.
Our only gripe is we have never paid the nationwide advertised prices, for one reason or another always more.
