Myself and four friends stayed in a 6 person room (room number 6 - 3 x double beds with ensuite) for three nights.
I'll list the downsides first: some of the pillows had seen better days (I was given another on request); one of the sheets was stained (we were given a clean one); the window handles were very loose; the windows were left wide open by housekeeping when we were out for the day; the inside door lock was broken (we fixed it with a tool from the reception); the free wifi was pretty useless; the bathroom needed a bin; there was no seal under the shower glass so the floor got very wet after 5 people took showers. But I admit some of this is fairly nit-picky stuff.
The upsides: the hotel was reasonably priced; room cleanliness was sufficient with housekeeping coming daily to make beds and empty bins; the hotel is in a convenient Zone 2 location close to Finsbury Park tube; we were given fresh towels daily; breakfast was fine with a choice of continental or a full English served in a pleasant room; most of the staff were friendly, especially those on the front desk.
Overall this hotel is pretty good for a 3 star in London, and with some small improvements to the room (as mentioned above) I would have given it a 5/5.More
