I originally booked a twin room for a friend and myself for a shopping trip to Shrewsbury, but due to unforeseen circumstances ended up going with my husband. Louise kindly turned the room I had booked into a double with the most comfortable - and huge! - superking size bed.
Although our bathroom was across the landing, slippers and bathrobes were provided and the bathroom was immaculate. The room itself was spotless and bright and just what we wanted.
When we told Louise that we were just going to potter about town and maybe have some dinner, she gave us directions and a map on which she noted good pub food as well as more expensive eating places. She also pointed out the churches and shopping centres as well as the streets that had more independant shops and the market - which is well worth a visit. The selection of drinks in our room was wonderful, coupled with some lovely biscuits and chocolates.
And then there was breakfast! Oh what a feast! We didn't need lunch that day. A great choice of cereal, an excellent full English with some of the best sausages I've tasted, and toast with a couple of cups of quality filter coffee.
There was no real hurry to get us out of the door, and we had a lovely chat with a very nice lady, Louise you are a credit to the B&B business.
We are already planning a stay in the summer of next year and will be taking our 5 year old, and we will definately be staying at the Anton Guest House.
Room Tip: Don't be put off if you can only get the room that isn't ensuite, it's excellent and ver...
