“BETTER THAN LAST TIME”

Well where do I start....Lets start by saying that this little gem of a hotel may not be of Hilton standard, but it cannot be beaten in several avenues.

This is my second stay here and once againit was a pleasure....Davs, Magda and the rest of the staff couldnt have been more pleasant. Ok it needs some attention but I cant fault anything about my short stay in Edinburgh. The location was perfect for me as I was attending business in the Omni centre.

Again the room was superb, as was the breakfast and attention to my requirements. It's not informal like many of the big name brands, I prefer local hotels with the 'family' atmosphere.

There was a function on and I was in bed around 1030, but so what, are people not allowed to enjoy themselves just because Im up early.

Check was very smooth, like before and the parking is more than ample. Checking out was like saying goodbye to close friends...

A superb stay from start to finish.

Room Tip: Dont miss the breakfast !!

“Comfortable and friendly 3-star”

My husband and I chose to stay here as it was in between the Inverleith area where we were going shopping and the Leith area where we were eating at night. We arrived well before check-in to see if we could leave our car in the car park. Despite there being a function on the hotel and it being very busy we were met by a helpful man who asked if we wanted to check in. Our room was clean, spacious and modern in decor. We had room 1, which overlooked the back of the hotel. Not the most exciting of views but we weren't intending to be looking out of the window much.

After shopping, we returned to freshen up and had coffee and shortbread in the room. The shower was good - easy to work and very powerful.

When we arrived back at night there was a function on and there was some noise from the function suite but as we had been out for whole evening we weren't affected too much and it finished about midnight. If we had been staying at the hotel for the whole evening it might have been a problem.

The walls are a bit thin and we did wake up when we heard a TV going on about 6.45am but that's par for the course of staying in a hotel.

Breakfast was good and we were asked several times if we wanted more toast or coffee.

I have read some of the reviews on here about this hotel and although each person has a different experience and expectations, we found it to be a comfortable 3-star hotel which performs well in that category. We got a good deal and it suited our purpose.

this is the third year my friends from malta have stayed at the Victoria Park. Elanie and Alison were made to feel right at home and could not fault the hotel. Both enjoyed the scottish breakfasts in the morning and had a few beers in the public bar in the evening.
They both felt that this hotel was good value for money and the staff very friendly and helpful.
see you again this December!

This was our second stay at the Victoria Park and we would certainly recommend it to anyone looking for a very good small hotel in Edinburgh. We found the food to be excellent and the staff friendly and helpful. A very good hotel offering good value for money - what more could you ask for?
