“Total luxury in amazing location!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

My wife and I stayed at the Coach House over the last few days and loved it! From the minute we arrived, we knew we were going to have a great time. Even though we arrived quite late, Maggie gave us a fabulous welcome and provided some great tips on where to go in the surrounding area, to make the most of the weekend. Very rarely do you come across hospitality/accommodation of this standard anywhere and the beds are magnificent - best sleep I've had in years!! If you are looking for affordable luxury in beautiful surroundings, with perfect hosts catering for your every whim, look no further. This is how it should be done - we'll be back...

“Everything a holiday cottage should be”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 January 2012

I spent four cosy nights here with my family at the blustery start of the year. Despite the howling gales, we were warm and snug in the thoughtlfully-equipped cottage. It had everything we needed for a truly relaxing stay, even down to a welcome basket, as mentioned by other reviewers. For my nine-year-old son, though, the highlight was the huge activity barn which we had to drag him away from! It has not only a darts board, table tennis table, badminton net and table football, but a fabulous arrangement of hay bale tunnels, to keep him occupied for hours.

Owner Maggie has thought of everything to ensure a comfortable stay in this lovely corner of Fife.

“Wonderful stay!”

Elegant self-catering experience just a bit outside St. Andrews. Rural enough for peace and quiet yet you can be in town or on the links in a couple of minutes. Proprietress Maggie was as helpful as could be and made the whole experience easy and enjoyable. Highly recommended!

“consistenly good accomadation with five star ratings”

The accomadation is five star and has all the ammenties you will need to make your stay comfortable and luxurious. We fell in love with St Andrews some years ago and have returned frequently since. It has been so important to have found a place to stay that feels like home from home with all the comforts to make our stay relaxing and enjoyable. The Coach Houses will not dissapoint you, we will stay nowhere else, from our very first visit to our recent visit last week the high standards of the accomodation have remained the same. John and Maggie (owners) remain focused, caring, supportive and wonderful hosts, We have only witnessed many happy guests and enjoyed socialising with a range of interesting people/families particularly in the spring/summer months. It is so nice to come back to your base, sit outside on the patio with a glass of wine and take in the wonderful views.
Our youngest daughter is now eleven years of age and she loves to play in the converted barn which seems to be upgraded frequently- you can join the children if you wish and play badmington, table football etc.
To us we do not mind what time of year we return as long as we have at least a week's stay here, there is so much to do and see and we never get bored. We will be returning very soon along with many others who will have also fallen in love with this place.

Great to be able to welcome you back again and thanks so much for taking the time to post a review for us especially considering your busy lifestyle. As we enter the fourth year of our relatively new business we are delighted with how many wonderful reviews we have received from our guests, it makes all the hard work worthwhile. We have met so many lovely guests and every year more choose to return which is a real thrill for us.

“Lived up to high expectations”

We had a lovely peaceful 5-night stay here with a lively toddler. We had high hopes for the cottage after reading previous reviews and were delighted that the accommodation lived up to these. The accommodation is exceptionally well thought out and presented, and located well for visiting St Andrews and Fife. Our son was thrilled to watch the cows getting breakfast and playing in the activity barn each day and he was overjoyed when John topped off our trip by inviting him to sit in the tractor and combine harvester.

The hosts are very considerate and the welcome information includes many tips for local activities. One of the highlights of our trip was feeding baby deer after visiting Santa's grotto at the Scottish Deer Centre.
