We had the fortunate experience of staying in this B&B for 3 nights while we visited Galway. Of our entire vacation in Ireland, this was our favorite B&B. The rooms were immaculate and very modern appearing. The beds were comfortable, and the bathrooms were also very nice. The breakfasts were delicious. However, I think the best part was the proprietor Kathleen. She was extremely welcoming and very friendly. She was very helpful in suggesting things we should do in Galway, as well as recommending restaurants and pubs. On top of all this, we had the misfortune of having our rental car fail on us. She even made some phone calls to the rental car company to help us out. I can't say enough good things about this place, and I would definitely recommend this B&B to anyone.

I didn't actually stay at this b n b, because the lady of the house rang my home to ask if I was going to arrive any later than 8, because she'd be in bed if I did.

I said it'd be nearer to 9, as my friend was driving me down after work, and she went in to such a long rigmarole about how someone had woken her up at midnight that I told her I wouldn't need the booking.

I understand that she needs her sleep, but there's a difference between arriving a bit past nine and after midnight.

I didn't want the stress of wondering what reception I'd get, so I cancelled.

This landlady seems to me to have guests under sufferance. (Talking about how she 'makes her own boundaries' and suchlike).

Perhaps she's very hospitable if you arrive at 2pm? I don't know.
