My partner stayed for one night on 31/12/2011 We paid 159 euros for room only, which we thought was expensive, but the position of the hotel suited our needs.
Our twin room was very small as was the bathroom, but the beds were very comfortable and everything was extreemly clean.
We didn't get much sleep that night as there was so much noise coming from somewhere beneath us where there must have been a party going on till 4,30am. Not ideal when you have an early start in the morning. We complained about the noise when we went down, and were told if we had rung down to the night porter he would have done something about it. [I must admit I hadn't thought of doing that]
All the staff we met were charming and helpful. They gave us complimentary breakfasts and money off the bill for the inconvenience we had suffered, and were most apologetic.
The bar food was very good, as was the breakfast.
As it was New Years Eve there was a singer in the bar. I don't know where they found him as he was just terrible. This was a huge dissapointment, as there are so many good singers in Ireland.
Although I have marked the fitness centre and swimming pool as good, I don't know if there were either, but could not submit review without marking it
