“Excellent B&B”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 December 2011

We were thrilled with this lovely little B&B, which is located in the very middle of Reims. We were greeted on arrival by Renaud, who showed us around, arranged for us to use his lock-up garage (very useful when you have several hundred dollars worth of champagne in the backseat) and gave us excellent recommendations for things to do and restaurants to visit in Reims (all of which were spot on).

The house is truly beautiful, and our room was lovely - an enormous, clean, beautifully decorated room in white and navy with a big, clean, modern bathroom with a rainforest shower. We were very comfortable and really enjoyed our stay.

We left early so didn't manage to sample breakfast, but I would recommend this hotel to everyone. An absolute bargain for the 80 euros or so charged for the room.

“Nice atmosphere”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 November 2011

We spend a weekend in Reims, France, and discovered this B&B through Tripadvisor. And we must say that all the good reviews are very well earned. Situaded well in the center of town, but is a quiet little street, a wonderfull old house with high ceilings and wooden floors.
We stayed in the "Les Jemaux" room and it was large, comfortable, nice beds and a ensuite bathroom with a superb rainshower.
If I really have to give some remarks, and now I'm being very severe, it would only be to give the maximum of information to possible visitors.
*There is no TV in the room, we don't mind at all, but maybe some people would like that.
*Eventhough they asked us in advance when we would arrive so they could accomodate us upon arrival, and we clearly stated we would arrive at about 13h, when we got there we could not get in the room before 17h, so we had to wander around town for about 4 houres before we could change into more comfortable clothes and take a shower.
*Breakfast is very nice to French standards, fresh orange juice, croissants, applesause, bagette, but is remains a French breakfast, and if you, like we, don't have a sweet tooth, it is all a bit oversugared. Just a little slice of cheese or ham or an egg would have made a big difference for us. But as I mentioned, these are details.
The lady of the house is very helpfull and will pass you all the information you need, including a city map and a road map if you want to do the Champagne touristic drive.
Parking in the area can be a bit tricky, on demand you can rent the garage of the owner.

“Great B&B”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 November 2011

We stayed here for 4 nights and had a lovely time. The rooms were large, warm and clean. The bed was comfortable and the shower hot with endless hot water. The hosts were very friendly and helpful, assisting with reservations to champagne houses and restaurants. The location is in walking distance to the train station, town centre and restaurants. The only drawback is the lack of communal space in which to sit and read, chat to other guests, and of course, share champagne.

“Must Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 November 2011

Stayed here for three days during the last week of October and it was excellent. The owners Veronique and Reynaud speak excellent English and went above and beyond their duties as hosts to accommodate us. Even before our arrival, they were only too willing to recommend champagne tours and visits - both of which surpassed our expectations. Their advice as to where to eat outside of the usual tourist places was also fantastic. We would recommend Au Bon Manger for lunch and the La Boulingrin for an evening meal. The B&B was spacious, very clean and we were served with excellent traditional French breakfasts. Overall a must stay.
